AD(h)D Assessment Package

An affordable yet extensive AD(H)D testing package is now available in your community!

The key to intervention in any childhood behavioral disorder is proper assessment. AD(H)D can be over-diagnosed as well as under-diagnosed and so a COMPREHENSIVE and MULTI-DICIPLINARY approach to assessment is crucial! If your child or teenager is experiencing any of the following, he/she would be a good candidate for an AD(H)D assessment:

• School problems
• Behavioral problems
• Distractibility
• Inattentiveness
• Hyperactivity
• Impulsivity
• Anger
• Sadness
• Anxiety
• Poor self-esteem

AD(H)D is a set of symptoms represented in 3-7% of school age children representing 1.6 to 3 million children in the US. Is it time for you to give your child the help they need by getting to the bottom of his/her struggles?
Effective treatment interventions are available to ease their symptoms!

Our Program
Assessment is most effective when using different methods together and utilizing different disciplines of professionals working as a team. Our counselors will work with your family, use proven psychological testing tools, and leave the final diagnosis to our Child Psychiatrist who has specialized in this disorder for over 32 years.

The 3 steps to our program include:

  1. Session #1- 1.5 hours. The first 25 minutes will focus your child on taking a computerized measure of attentiveness called the Test of Variable Attention (T.O.V.A.). This test will feel like a video game to your
child, and has an accuracy rate of detecting AD(H)D symptoms of up to 86%. The Conner’s Self Report rating scale for teachers and parents will also be used by your clinician and this test has a reliability of up to 90% in assessing AD(H)D symptoms. A full clinical assessment with the child and his/her parent(s) for 45 - 60 minutes will also be completed during that session by a Master’s Level Clinician.

  2. Session #2- 0.5 hours. This follow-up meeting will allow for a debriefing and presentation of our findings to the parents including the scored results of the T.O.V.A. and Conner’s Rating Scale, a report of the diagnosis (if any) given by our Child Psychiatrist, a set of interventions specific to your child, and documented recommendations for further medical, educational,
    and/or clinical services if needed.

  3. Renewal Center will coordinate care with your child’s Primary Care Physician or Pediatrician by sending a packet of information to them and consulting with them as needed.

Is it affordable to have my child tested?
We have done our best to keep the costs low! Cost: $300. We ask that you pay half of this fee up front when scheduling either by sending in a check or securing payment with a credit card. Though most of this cost is reimbursable by your health insurance company, we will not be billing for
these services. We will provide you with the insurance codes and a receipt to send in to your insurance company for reimbursement at your request.
